Gearing up to go, we need hats.

'We're off to see the wiz...' no, 'Follow the Yellow Br....' nope, um, 'Its a long way to Tip...' no thats not right, er, 'Climb every mountain, ford every...' nope, but that will feature. Um, 'Leaving on a jet plane...' getting there now. Oh Whatever, we are going to China my china!

Routes have been planned, tickets are bought, visas obtained, clothes selected, food researched, packing rethought and space made for snickers bars. Sun cream and rain macs ready to go - its hot at 35C but with thunderstorms almost daily. Hmm long flights ahead, so: iPod? Yes. Laptop? Check. Kindle? Yep. Good, that's the entertainment sorted, now if only I didn't need all these cables... oh well, Ill be sure not to leave any poking out of my backpack, its bad enough that my new passport photo puts the mugshots for Alcatraz to shame, gulp...

We need hats, myself in particular to protect my ever widening bald spot from the skin searing rays of the Asian sun. Aha! I exclaim, at last an opportunity has arisen to get the perfect adventurers head gear! A hat I have always wanted to own and now I have a reason to, for what self respecting explorer wouldn't want to wear such an iconic hat as a fedora? I found one I liked, and I'm pretty happy with the overall look I am developing for this trip, yes very Indy-like. Nikala took one look at me, standing there proudly in my travelling gear, believing myself to look every inch the daring protagonist of such tales of daring do and pulp fiction of the age, and asked: 'Why have you bought a Freddy Kruger hat?'
